i just read someone's blog who is against clubbing and quote the verse of romans 12:2 of not conforming to the world. I'm not against clubbing and not against the people who are against clubbing but i'm really against people being self-righteous. Many times i can't even tell some of my church friends that i went clubbing or what coz they will think that i'm not decent or what.
FOR GOODNESS SAKE! not as if i did anything down there. I just dance and hang out with my friends with a couple of drinks. Not as if i have anything to do with the guys down there. What is there to conform? Why must people always get the wrong idea of going to clubbing means u have other motives? I read my cell mate's blog talking abt girls going clubbing to show off legs! WTH! So if u don't go clubbing, does it mean that you are more "holy" than others? Thank God he doesnt judge people according to this "human" standard, if not alot of people will fall short of his glory. Luckily he judged according to His Grace and to our hearts.
I seriously can't stand some of the godly people's self righteous attitude. I know they are good christians who love God and I admire them for it, but they behave in such a way that as if if u r trying to be more trendy or hanging out with people in pubs, it means u r vain or u are not godly! I'm just trying to be who I am, quoting the verse again, "I'm not conforming also". How are we going to reach out to others if we keep thinking those people are "ungodly" or not "prim and proper"?
ok enough of it. anw just watched tyra banks show and i really love her for encouraging women to become who they are. Today's prog is about women showing their fats! haha ya, whatever is your size, all women will wear a tube showing their belly with words "so what" printed infront. Isn't it nice to be confident no matter your size or looks and with the "so what attitude".
Anw Tyra also talks about how girls go to great length to become a model. Paying huge amount of money just to buy a sense of security. They are mostly insecure and they thought by going into the modelling industry where everyone will praise them and think highly of them, they be loved again. So fake modelling agencies exploit this weakness in them, they praise them and talk about how pretty they are, and get them to pay or do all sorts of funny things to get into this career.
Basically i can see tyra's point is to discourage girls from blindly following fame, and to do foolish things in order to succeed. However the comments that the girls posted are mostly asking tyra on how to become a model, which agency is good, and if the height and weight matters. Well i guess at the end of the day, tyra's advice will fall on deaf ears. It's so sad to see so many people stumble in order to get fame.
